‘Stardust’ Director Matthew Vaughn to Direct Marvel’s ‘Thor’

In my interview with Matthew Vaughn, he loudly resounded a directorial shift away from the violent likes of producing “Snatch” and “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” to directing “Stardust”.

Heavily influenced by “The Princess Bride,” the fantasy film “Stardust” opens on Aug. 10. In the meantime, it was revealed on Aug. 9 that he is continuing his non-violent word. This report comes from Variety:

Marvel Studios is setting Matthew Vaughn to direct “Thor,” [which is] based on the Marvel Comics character.

Marvel is aiming for a pre-strike production start this winter. “Thor” marks [his] second effort at a [superhero film].
