Up-and-coming sports reporter (Hartnett) rescues a homeless man (“Champ,” Jackson) only to discover he is a boxing legend believed to have passed away.
What begins as an opportunity to resurrect Champ’s story and escape the shadow of his father’s success becomes a personal journey as the ambitious reporter reexamines his own life and his relationship with his family.

I would like to attend the advance screening of “Resurrecting the Champ” because I have long been a fan of movies and I pride myself on truly experiencing a film.
When seeing a film, I’m very selective about all the specifics surrounding it because I want to make sure I am with an audience who can appreciate the film. (Midnight showings are the best!)
I happened to catch the trailer for “Resurrecting the Champ” attached to “The Bourne Ultimatum” and was vastly surprised as to how moving it appears to be.
I’ve long known about the film – even in its very early stages – as a penpal of mine is married to someone who worked on its crew. It never sounded like it would be the way it looks to be in the trailer.
With that, it would also be very nice to write to my penpal that I got to see an advanced screening of this film she has long talked of. Thanks for the consideration.

I would love to go see this movie for two reasons. First of all, my younger sister and I love sports movies.
We love to see the drive that motivates someone to push them to their utmost and really excel in their sport. It’s not just a game. It’s really a way of life.
The both of us are marathon runners and love to challenge ourselves. This movie seems like it has a lot of great threads running through it – not just about sports but also about family.
I’m always trying to figure out how to step out of my parents’ shadows and be my own person, which is really hard to do.
The second reason is my sister thinks Josh Hartnett is absolutely gorgeous and loves and owns all his movies.
I hope we’ll get the movie passes so I can take her to go watch it. She’ll be visiting from Japan during the month of August and it’ll be a nice treat.

I enjoy stories about people who spend time dealing with those who are down on their luck. Learning how to use innovative ways to motivate people to get on with their lives is always enriching.

My family is very special to me. In the past six years, I have lost many people in my family who were extremely close to me.
I believe this film to be about having heart, will and the diligence to go on after facing extreme adversity. I have done so and do so every day.
My family and friends are my life. I am a huge film fanatic. If I could go, it would be a great honor.

Who can miss any big-screen outing with Alan Alda? Plus, I did some amateur boxing in my youth and some investigative journalism while in college. I’m already dying to see this movie.

I hope to see Samuel L. Jackson redeem himself from “Snakes on a Plane”. Most of all, I’m interested in seeing Alan Alda.

I am very interested in seeing this film! I help to run a soup kitchen in Chicago. I firmly believe that the homeless guests who come have incredible stories to tell.
It is amazing how someone can fall from fame to homelessness. It is also inspiring to see that someone can rise out of despair. I would love a chance to see this movie.

It should be an uplifitng and sincere movie – something that doesn’t come around too often. My grandfather was a boxer during the Depression and got through it by the skin of his teeth.
He would take as many fights as he could just to earn an extra buck for his family. I am hoping this movie can be as insipiring as my grandfather’s tale.

What can I say? I’m a chick who has an affinity for boxing stories that touch the heart.

I’m a new Chicago resident since the middle of June from a one-year adventure of driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile around the country.
While traveling and seeing more than 25 states, I found it hard and sometimes nearly impossible to stay in touch with movies. I am now trying to catch back up and can think of no better way than to check out exciting movie screenings in Chicago.
Please allow me to be in attendance at “Resurrecting the Champ”. I am very much looking forward to other exciting and worthwhile screenings coming up throughout the summer and early fall.

I’m very interested in human-interest stories that allow you to do some soul searching.
