Steven Spielberg Releases Photo of Harrison Ford in 2008 Indiana Jones Film
Nearly two decades later, Harrison Ford will return to his Indiana Jones roots for yet another film in the wildly intrepid franchise. I’m both very excited for this film to do justice to its predecessors and very scared that it may not.
Though the project is currently unnamed, director Steven Spielberg on June 21, 2007 released a photo to IndianaJones.com of the popular man in the hat sporting his rugged attire.
Set in the 1950s, the new film also stars Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, John Hurt, Ray Winstone and Jim Broadbent. The Lucasfilm production will be released by Paramount Pictures worldwide on May 22, 2008.
While Calista Flockhart was attached to the project at one point, she is no longer (phew!). While M. Night Shyamalan and Tom Stoppard were each asked to pen a draft of the screenplay, they didn’t (phew!).
Sean Connery will not come out of retirement to act as the scholarly father figure.
