2007 Chicago International Film Festival Kicks Off Today With ‘The Kite Runner’ Premiere
The 2007 Chicago Internation Film Festival kicks off Thursday, Oct. 4 with the premiere of “The Kite Runner”. Director Marc Forster, author Khaled Hosseini and actor Kalid Abdalla will be in attendance at the red-carpet event.
HollywoodChicago.com staff writer Evan O’Donnell will be bringing us full coverage of day one shortly after its conclusion. Forster also directed “Stranger Than Fiction,” “Finding Neverland” and “Monster’s Ball”.
Press will arrive at the Chicago Theatre (175 N. State St.) beginning at 5 p.m., the red carpet will run from 6 to 7 p.m., a tribute to Roger Ebert will last until 7:30 p.m. and “The Kite Runner” premiere will show from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
