Bucket of Scoops: ‘Wanted’ Shooting Tonight in Chicago, ‘Root of All Evil’ Filming Locations
“Sam PH,” a devoutly reliable source from my coverage of “The Dark Knight,” is back with a scoop about “Wanted” filming on Thursday in Chicago. The film, which is slated to open on March 28, 2008, stars Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy.
I have received several new reports about filming for the indie thriller “Root of All Evil” going on now in Chicago. The following came in at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday:

There’s a heavy-duty production being set up on Huron between Wood and Ashland. There are power trucks, big lights, cast and crew trailers – the works.
Judging by the big “Wanted” at the bottom of a pass worn by one of the workers, I’m farily certain “Wanted” is the production. I guess they had more to shoot!
The no-parking zone is from 7 a.m. on Wednesday until 11 p.m. tonight (Thursday). This looks to be an evening shoot.

I saw filming for the “Root of All Evil” being done in the liquor store on the corner of Wrightwood, Lincoln and Sheffield [on Wednesday] at about 5:30 p.m.

I live right across the street from the park where they will be filming “The Cache” (the “Root of All Evil”). It’s still named “The Cache,” according to all the notices they’ve posted on our building.
Filming [is going on] this week in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood on Sheffield between Lill and Wrightwood.
