Chicago Talk of ‘The Dark Knight’ Even Comes Into California Pizza Kitchen

On Thursday night before the flood of leaked images from “The Dark Knight” hit the Internet fan, I was eating dinner at California Pizza Kitchen in downtown Chicago right off Michigan Avenue.

I was about to screen “Resurrecting the Champ”. I couldn’t help overhearing a mom with her three kids. The youngest was talking about the Joker like a little boy about to snag his first Nintendo on Christmas.

I politely engaged conversation with his mom. It turns out they had just come from a park where they chummed it up with an English gentleman named Mark. He is one of the stuntmen for the Joker.

She described him as very kind and loving his job. “The Dark Knight” really is everywhere.
